As we move into Day 3 of this eruption reports are that overnight saw another explosion and the island is currently substantially covered in ash. Reports also say that it is likely that there will be significant damage to agriculture including livestock #LaSoufriere

Reports are that with the overnight explosion came a loss of electricity throughout the island of St. Vincent. It has been restored in some areas. Residents in some areas in the green zone reported that around 1am they could hear #LaSoufriere erupting. #lasoufriereeruption2021

Pyroclastic flows and lahars are a real possibility but it is expected that ash fall will be the most damaging given the topography of St. Vincent. #LaSoufrierevolcano

Falling debris amidst rainfall as the explosive eruptive state of the #LaSoufriere volcano continues.

Reports are via @NEMOSVG is that scientists have stated that the series of events following the 1st eruptive explosion of 9 April 2021 is reminiscent of the 1902 eruption. The 1902 eruption continued for a period of 10 months. #LaSoufriere #lasoufriereeruption2021
