30 small simple good deeds for Ramadan but they get bigger as we go:) a

1. memorize something in the quran wether big or small surah, 1/2 or 1 page
2. smile at a stranger :) and keep a positive attitude
3. call a family member that you haven’t checked on in a while
4. feed a homeless person or give out food to somebody who’s in need
5. visit someone who’s ill or check up on someone who’s in the hospital
6. spend a day with your grandma/grandpa (they get lonely sometimes too)
7. hit up someone you’re in an argument with or in a grudge and make up. you don’t necessarily have to be friends again, just apologize and make sure they’re not holding something on you in their heart or it’ll follow you on the day of judgment
8. feed the birds or get a bird feeder and put it outside your window/front yard
9. volunteer somewhere, your local mosque or smth and if you can’t due to covid then there are places to volunteer online:)
10. remind your family members how much they mean to you by saying a kind word or simply telling them you love them, the kind word is saddaqa
11. try to teach one of your friends who struggles with islam a new concept or a way to help them find their soul <3
12. teach your little siblings a small surah or explain to them the meaning of it, if you don’t have little siblings then nieces, nephews, cousins, or even your neighbors kids!
13. lead the prayer at home and try to get your family to start praying together, praying together is 27 times better then praying on your own!
14. help your mom and dad in any small way that might change their day, trust me a tiny act such as helping your mom with the iftar or helping your dad with his job/house work is truly gonna make them happy and lift some off their shoulder
15. as simple as sending a person who’s going through hardships a nice message or a nice text, as well as checking up on them. it takes 2 minutes.
16. commit to giving up one bad habit you have, and maintain it throughout the whole month of Ramadan and pray to Allah to keep you away from the bad habit even after Ramadan. remember, you shouldn’t stop/start doing stuff in Ramadan and not/do them the rest of the year!
17. start saving up for Zakaat, no one is ever too young to donate even if it’s as small as 2$ if that’s all you can do then so be it it’s still Ajir<3 try to save 1$ each day in Ramadan and by the end you’ll have around 30$ or start with any amount and put it in a box everyday!
18. clear out your closet for stuff you don’t wear. I KNOW YOUVE BEEN AVOIDING THIS TASK, but go do it common someone is in need of those clothes you don’t wear! even if they aren’t brand new just make sure they’re in good condition for someone to wear.
19. donate to any charity you trust, there are thousands of charities that do Iftar Sa’im or Iftar Ramadan and it costs as small as 5$ you literally can feed someone by donating 5$. It’s a huge reward for smth that took you 5 minutes to do! think of the less fortunate
20. due to the pandemic many of our Muslim friends haven’t been able to go back to their families/family members stuck outside so you get so much Ajir for inviting somebody who’s alone this Ramadan. a simple invite to Iftar will make their day & you get the Ajir of feeding them
21. commit to making your own small saving box, and save throughout the whole year so that when next Ramadan approaches you have way more to donate and way more to give out for Zakkah! and you’ll be able to feed more people by donating :)
22. this one doesn’t require any sort of action, but trying to keep your Ramadan habits all year round, many struggle to keep up their Ramadan habits and so in Ramadan you should pray and make Duaa that Allah keeps your heart guided on the right path all the time
23. volunteer to make Iftar for one day, it might be difficult for some but trust me your mother/father/the person who cooks in your family will be so relieved & happy that you asked! and if you can’t do that then help set up the table and do the small tasks in the kitchen!
24. if you have a baby sibling or little siblings who needs baby sitting, do it and save your parents a little time for them to do extra stuff in Ramadan. many don’t realize our parents spend so much of their Ramadan taking care of us, they don’t have time for their own deeds
25. bring your parents water and dates as soon as the Athan goes off, you’re getting Hasanat for being good to your parents and breaking their fast!
26. do something with your siblings, get off your phone and go do something with them, it can be as small as reading Quran together or helping out around the house. it’s the company that counts:) it’ll make them happy believe me

28. pray fajr together with your family and then sit and recite after prayer Thikr along with a couple pages of Quran until the sun rises, then pray two Rakat and you just got the Ajir of someone who went to Umrah and Hajj! dont stay up on your phone just do this with your family
29. teach someone about Laylatu AlQadr, many dont know the story of it and how it came to be the best night of the year and better than a 1000 months! if you don’t know the story yourself read about it, and then tell someone that way you’re educating a muslim abt islam:)
30. lastly, try to keep a kind and happy attitude in Ramadan, just because you’re fasting doesn’t mean you have to be cranky and rude to everyone! you should spread kindness throughout the whole year, especially in Ramadan:)
i hope at least 1 person benefits one single thing from this thread:) Ramadan Kareem everyone it might be your last Ramadan so please use it fully
