It's depressing how many people who dine out on being fundraising thought leaders, gurus and influencers only use that platform for self gain. It's unforgivable how many of those same people use their platform to make things worse. And that includes those who put more effort in to criticising those fighting for change than they put into criticising abusive or discriminatory behaviour in our sector.

So the next time you see a message on here from a fundraising guru pitching their wares (be it book, blog, podcast, course or service) ask yourself - when was the last time you saw that person speak out about something that really matters?
