The account @flighted_leggie and his analysis of Rashid Khan's stock vs googly deliveries is a testament to the fact that if broadcasters like @StarSportsIndia keep reading out scorecards in the name of post match analysis, small accounts will ultimately win the discourse.
The knowledge base around analysing cricket has democratized to a large extent with the advent of social media and internet is general. I love @nassercricket and @SkyCricket only because they keep up with the changing scenario. The viewers WANT to be more involved in the game.
The viewers want to see the science behind range hitting, spin bowling, how fast bowling takes a toll on player's bodies etc. Take a look at @SkyCricket 's YouTube channel. It's a goldmine for someone like me and others who're interested in analysis of that kind.
You will see @nassercricket having a 'masterclass' on range hitting by Butler, on Kohli's changed approach post 2014 Eng tour, on Rashid Khan's spin madness. These are intelligent and good conversations. Reading out stats is a thing of past now. Almost everyone can do that.
Having been an admirer of all that analysis, and engaging in all that myself, and being relatively new on Cricket Twitter, I really like how @CricRicky , @CricketWithAsh , @flighted_leggie make their arguments about the game. Reading the game with them is a joy!
Obviously to add to that you have @ajarrodkimber doing his analysis on his wonderful YouTube channel. It's meticulous work !
