A lot of people compare gcs/terfs to the alt right - but that's not quite right: they ARE the alt right. They are being redpilled and radicalised and we're seeing it all because mainstream platforms have legitimised it. Redpilling works in a particular way and gcs are part of it

When a person is "redpilled" they're not immediately drawn into every aspect of far right ideology. It's a process. There are various ways in: it could be the manosphere, it could be Islamophobia, it could be "gender ideology". They are loved bombed by others with their ideology

Their anger in played on, but it has nowhere to go. Friends and family start to distance themselves as their obsessions become too much. So they only have one way to deal with that deliberately misplaced anger, only one way to go. Further down the rabbit hole.

Some people only get "redpilled" on one thing, others sink further into hateful ideology. We've already seen it multiple times, be it turning into homophobia by inventing pedophilia in gay rights movements, or Islamopbobia by condemning Muslim women for the patriarchy

And of COURSE the antisemitism. That's right at the heart of alt right ideology and it seeps into everything. Every time you hear about a "well funded trans lobby" that's where it's coming from.

Our media and other institutions have legitimised the alt right through their own blind transphobia. They could have shone a light on it, any number of investigative journalist could - and should - have written about this, but they haven't. Right wing orgs don't even hide it.

It will be interesting to see how they distance themselves from this now the radicalisation is becoming more and more obvious.
