We have some incredibly talented, world class specialists in Canada; as good as they come. We also have some incredible M.D’s. Unfortunately governments across the country resort to what I like to refer to as script readers. In defence of many of those S.R’s, red tape and

Bureaucratic policy impose an organic cloak of secrecy and opaqueness which confines the government paid Doctor’s to a very narrow script which is counterintuitive and disadvantageous to public interest in times of emergent situations.

B.C’s Bonnie Henry is a truth teller and great M.D (It helps when you’re backed by a great government as they have in B.C)
Alberta’s Dr. Dina Hinshaw is a truth teller but unfortunately the Kenny government runs a tight ship and controls her with an iron fist
4/

Saskatchewan’s Dr. Saqib Shahab is a truth teller but he’s highly constrained by Moes’ conservative script. Moe is often near during each and every press conference dally wagging his way around Dr. Shahab’s every word.
Manitoba’s Dr.Roussin is a capable DR and

Perhaps is even apprised of the most recent literature but infectious disease is clearly and demonstrably outside of his wheel house. I believe that he is a script reader and ardent Pallister loyalist. If people knew how little time is spent on one specific genre of

of medicine that these generalist practitioners learn in med school to cover the entire scope of medicine, you may be surprised. Hence the need for specialization. Doctors know a little about everything and a lot about nothing. My own M.D is virtually

Medically illiterate in many individual sections of medicine. Ontario’s Dr. David Williams is unequivocally a P.C parrot and script reader. I would go so far as to say that between Williams and Ford, they’ve got blood on their hands for allowing Ontario’s situation to

decline to such an exponentially desperate state of affairs. If that is Ontario’s “emergency brake” at work-they’d best get their brakes fixed. My harsh critique of Williams and Ford is back by a scathing report from Ontario’s Auditor General. You can read the preamble here;

Toronto’s top Dr. Eileen de Villa is without question a truth teller and among my favourite. She’s world class. It helps to be in the company of a world class mayor in John Tory. Another fantastic truth teller M.D is Peel region’s
11/

Top dr Lawrence Loh. Very smart, transparent and seemingly independent.
12/

The rest of the fantastic truth tellers are specialists in the field. The one’s government’s in Canada ignore and avoid. Can you imagine if MB was singlehandedly guided and led each day publicly and otherwise by a world class Epidemiologist??
13/

Among my favourite (I’ve got a bit of a crush to be frank ☺️) is Dr. Lisa Barret. Scientist, M.D extraordinaire. Infectious disease and immunology is her thing. Governments the World over should be clambering for her service. And damn she’s cute...
14/

Dr Kindrachuck, Manitoba’s proudly own. Another world class specialist who is among the rank and file elite. And, one hell of a nice guy. MB couldn’t be better represented without him.
15/

Infectious disease specialist Dr. Abdu Sharkawy, yet another world class Dr and one of the hardest working advocates for government action in Canada.
16/

Infectious disease specialist Dr. Isaac Bogoch world class specialist that we Canadians should be proud to call our own.

Lastly, if you’re a nurse or healthcare professional in the prairies from Manitoba to B.C; you may be called upon in the coming weeks for your service as Ontario’s situation has become so acute that nurses and M.D’s are worth their weight in gold atm. They’re hurting badly.
