I think the Fifth Doctor is the Doctor I have most changed my opinion about. I used to think of him as a very bland Doctor lacking the alien qualities. But now I see him as an old man with the weight of the universe on his shoulders
#DoctorWho
The Fifth Doctor is a stubborn, weary and frustrated old man in a lot of ways but with an enejetic and youthful personality who is keen to explore the universe. But his travels take a toll on him as he is surrounded by death and destruction
#DoctorWho
The Fifth Doctor suffers from loss and suffers from the consequences of his travels and is shaped by the impact of his travels as he slowly loses his optimism through Adric's death, being forced to sacrifice Kamelion, Tegan leaving because of the death and destruction
#DoctorWho
The Fifth Doctor has a kindly and gentle warmth and is very sympathetic but he does become more authroitive over his run and willing to do what needs to be done because of the loss he has experienced which leads to the Caves of Androzani
#DoctorWho
There are Doctor I prefer but the Caves of Androzani elevates Peter Davison's Doctor immensely with the best performance from any Doctor in the role. Everything in his era leads to his final story with him refusing to let anyone else die and dedicated to saving Peri
#DoctorWho
The Caves of Androzani is a world surrounded by corruption where the Doctor and Peri are stuck in the middle of a deadly war. Its the Doctor experience of loss and the impact of death which motivates him to sacrifice himself and to such extreme lengths to save Peri
