lemme just list the main points down -
• stans are good when it comes to getting things that are important trending
• the word stan should have never been changed
• the word stans definition has changed
• the generalization of stans

• the overall damage you have caused
• excusing actual issues your cc’s cause
• the overall damage you have caused
lets get started :
point one - since there’s gigantic groups of stans, you guys are good when it comes to getting things trending as we’ve seen before. being good at this is important when actual social problems are being talked about, like black lives matter, police -
brutality, the death penalty, signing important petitions and overall spreading awareness. being able to mass tweet the same hashtag is good when it comes to talking about the right topics.
point two - the word stan should have never been changed. the word itself has been a center of controversy, one side saying the term has changed and the other saying that the meaning is still there, even if it’s been muddied. i believe that the word should have never been -
repurposed into something you guys can use to address yourselves as. the word stan is used to describe an obsessive fan, and this term is important when talking about ACTUAL obsessive fans who stalk content creators. i understand that you guys don’t like over -
generalization, but when someone in your community stalks a cc and calls them self a stan, then all of you guys who also identify as ‘stans’ will end up being grouped in with that one person.
point three - piggy backing off of my last point, the word has been changed into an interchangeable word with “fan”. stan and fan are now considered the same thing, and a lot of people use both to address themselves ( this is just general knowledge at this point )
point four - as i mentioned earlier ; generalization. there’s been a lot of large accounts like “average mcyt fans” that post screenshots of mcyt fans posting awful shit of content creators, whether it be pedophilic or just straight up gore porn, these kinds -
of accounts overgeneralize all stans to be pedophiles. now coming from me, someone who was literally groomed by a pedophile, i hate that shit. you guys are watering the term “pedophile” down and are now applying it to large groups of people who are mainly children.
this is awful because when it comes to discussing addressing pedophiles, people will not be able to differentiate between a whole community that was labeled pedophilic and an actual pedophile ( i could say more about this but it’s up to interpretation )
point five - the “loud minority” is actually the quiet majority. while we all like to pass off the loud majority of stans as a small group of people who are just weird and hostile, it’s actually a large portion of people who exhibit this kind of behavior.
how? attacking cc’s and being condescending. for example : minx. i don’t support minx and i frankly dislike her for protecting kacey even when kacey has done awful shit but minx was right about one thing. there’s a whole bunch of people who will outright -
send you death threats for your opinions on them. you guys will post things like “i hate (insert name)” and then your entire community will take it and run with it. one tweet from you guys will cause the whole community to turn against a person.
you guys will target cc’s and harass them for genuinely speaking about certain things they feel strongly about and then you guys play victim when actually confronted about this issue. i’m pretty sure philza said a slur like years ago and people tried to cancel him -
over it. same thing with techno but it was him making jokes. you guys dig up shit on people from the past that you guys probably did as well and then you guys get it trending, not giving a single fuck as to what that may be doing to the cc’s mental health.
point six - you guys are using words from disabled communities when you’re literally not a disabled person yourself. you guys are misusing words like “hyper fixation” which is something people with adhd ( i have adhd ) have to face.
do you really think it’s fun to hyper fixate on something and then drop it entirely? it’s awful. you guys also ruined a whole bunch of other terms that used to only be for disabled people. and this also applies to aave. you guys misuse it all the time.
point seven - the quick forgiveness. i have a personal problem with this one. when fundy had made jokes about rape during a specific jackbox stream and apologized for it days later, you guys had a gigantic hype train going during that stream.
you guys forgave him simply because you guys adore him. he literally joked about women getting roofied. and while he may have apologized, you guys are making it seem like that there was no issue in the first place. that nothing actually happened and that -
there was no problem with the shit he said. stop doing that. you guys will dig up shit on people from years ago but when they do something awful in the present day that has genuine consequences, you guys are quick to forgive and forget about these problems.
i know what getting sexually assaulted feels like. it’s awful. when content creators make jokes about these things, it normalizes the stigma around these problems. an example of this happening is rape culture ( that’s a whole different issue i’ll talk about some other day )
point eight - racism. literal fucking racism. misogyny too. you guys shit on niki and other girls who are popular streamers simply because their girls but then you’ll thirst over the same looking white guys who making awful jokes and then refuse to say sorry -
until you guys get them trending. you guys will also turn on your own community members if they bring up genuine issues they have with a content creator if it’s regarding racism or any other problem. it’s disgusting. grow up.
point nine - the dumbass shit you guys trend everyday. bro. what. “goodnight white boy who doesn’t know we exist
” SHUT UP. you guys pride yourselves on being progressive and caring about social issues but you trend stupid shit everyday when you could be -

talking about more important stuff. black lives matter is still fucking relevant. instead of trending the same word every five minutes, try trending something that actually matters (: shooters for dream when a literal shooting happened -
that was racially motivated. do you fuckers not think before you do shit? the elders in my community got murdered and you guys chose to trend shooters for dream that day. seriously? and i don’t give a fuck if you guys were using the hashtag to stop people from using it.
you’re still using the hashtag which makes it trend more. you’re indirectly making it trend more. think before you do stupid shit. be more fucking aware. and that may be personal to me because i’m asian and middle eastern and felt pain along with other asians that day -
but please think before you say anything. it’s important ):
point ten - you guys excuse the things cc’s did for the sake of being comfortable. i’m not going to explain this again. i already did.
overall, to stans in general, just stop. stop misusing words and be more aware of the things you guys do. please. you may not think that it hurts others but it really does. it’s not fair to watch some dude be trending for the ninth time the same week -
george floyd’s trials are being taken place. it’s nasty seeing how you guys care more about streamers meeting up than laws being passed that are oppressive against the lgbtqia+ community.
to end this thread : just be better.
p . s . these aren’t all of my thoughts, i’ve just compiled a list of things i could remember from the top of my head. i’ll probably redo this later on.
