Twitter is the place where satire, irony and sarcasm die a slow, painful death. People (children rather) have learned to take everything at face value, do no research about context and apply big hefty words, usually reserved for crimes, to their own made up takes on reality.
And what bothers me most about this is that there are so many fucked people on this fucking planet. So many violent racists and sexists, so much hateful and dangerous queerphobic rhetoric and yet y'all love wasting your time on that one thing that one celebrity said back in 09.
Because if I take that out of context it could be considered problematic, right? I could write up a thread about why that person is an evil overlord and get some clout on it, right?
There are actual wars going on, genocidal dictators left and right, big ass companies that know they're supporting child labour and slavery, our planet is actively burning but fuck that beauty blogger, am I right kids?
I get caught up in online drama too, it's human but deliberately writing think pieces on stuff and framing people without offering the right context to allow people to make up their own minds... that's just fucked up, dude.

And with that: good morning!
