It’s ass that we have to point to trans-identifying men (I say that instead of “transwomen” bc with self-ID who even knows if they are) being violent towards women to justify our female-only spaces.

Every single TW on Earth could be the nicest person who would never hurt a fly (I’m sure most are ion let cringe TRAs color my view of the whole trans pop.) and that still would not make them literally female, the same as “cis” women, or erase the relevant differences between us.

Female-only spaces aren’t just for safety, they’re for convenience, community, conversation, and more. There we can talk unapologetically about female-exclusive experiences without being shushed/shamed/silenced by members of the opposite sex, who don’t go thru the same things.

Including but not limited to menstruation, birth control, pregnancy, breastfeeding, childbirth, abortion, miscarriage, socialization, hysterectomy, sexual harassment, menopause, sexual health, sex, masturbation, beauty standards, sexism, vulva anatomy, sex-specific diseases...

As much as TRAs love to weaponize infertile women, intersex women, etc, as gotchas and props to make their shitty point and erase our boundaries, these groups of women are never complaining about any of the above being “exclusionary” just bc they are personally not affected. Hmm.

Maybe it’s bc they are secure in what they are and understand that each of these things is only ONE part of womanhood and missing out doesn’t make them “less woman”, just an exception.

Talk of hysterectomy belongs in female spaces bc only women have uteruses to remove in the first place. It is an experience pertaining to the female body so it too is a part of womanhood, however less common it may be. It has the potential to affect any woman.

TRAs will screech that gender and sex are not the same to vindicate their arguments, but don’t even seem to believe it themselves. If gender and sex are distinct things what is the problem with having specific spaces centered around either? Why replace one with the other?

Sex is an axis of oppression that warrants organizing. Male people, regardless of how they identify, are the abusers/exploiters of female people, regardless of how they identify. Just as, at the exact same time, cis people mistreat trans people. Both are true at once.

Just look at how TW treat TM for all the proof that “gender identity” does not erase biological sex. It is literally a human right for oppressed groups to be able to congregate away from their oppressors.

A TW absolutely can face (misdirected) misogyny but that doesn’t equate to being born and socialized female. That’s not just another different experience of womanhood, as TRAs try to play it off as. Being born with a dick isn’t fucking equivalent to being born with dark skin.

We can even use “female person” in place of “woman” to be trans inclusive (of trans men and AFAB enbies). Just let us have penis-person free spaces, please.
