Listening to the latest @WorstYearPod and big shout out to @drmistercody for pointing out line cooks specifically as a struggling field. In fact, we have been so short-staffed that I just quit for mental health reasons, which of course disqualifies me from unemployment benefits🤷‍♂️
I know I can get the same or more pay at any restaurant in the city right now, but they're all in the same position so it'd just be more of the same. I can get close to the same pay - but with SOME benefits - in a lower-stress environment stocking shelves at any grocery store.
So between staying on unemployment or changing fields to something better, why would anyone continue working at any food service job?

I won't even start on the way the rest of society treats people that do.
Also I should add that @IwriteOK's idea to "firebomb the poop-swamp from the sky" is totally worth exploring and also my new band name.

Some kinda indie-folk-dubstep-hiphop thing. That's what people listen to now, right?
ALSO! Why is @why_sophie_why texting for ad breaks when she has ABSOLUTELY earned the right to awkwardly interrupt for them?!
