Fandom ant*s on Tumblr talking about how anyone who donated to ao3 supports ch*ld p*rn really need to just... take a step back and think about that.

I am so tired of this black and white thinking, these statements that anyone who ships anything, or uses ao3, is a monster.

Fun fact: people can ship perfectly healthy relationships (see: of age, consenting, etc) and call themselves pr*shippers and also NOT condone underage pairings.

People can use ao3 and not condone that there are inc*st and underage content on the website.

Things are not one or the other. Life is not black and white. People can condemn problematic stuff while using ao3.

For the love of fucking sanity, I’m starting to hate being part of fandom at all because of all this black and white thinking.

It doesn’t even matter that it’s one designated group. When people are doxxing others, sending death threats, telling people to die for some perceived evil when there are LITERAL bad people who would be better focused on... it’s disappointing. It’s ugly.

I’m just so fucking tired and considering stepping out of fandom for good. And I’m one voice, and it doesn’t really matter. But I honestly don’t know how much longer I can watch people say the shit they’re saying and stomach it.

I’m tired. Bone deep exhausted.
