i see a lot of people confused about whats going on so heres a thread of the weird "ajr are jewish" tweets @ ajroko / ben has tweeted and why theyre fucking weird

i wanna start this off by saying I AM NOT JEWISH!! i am not in any way trying to speak for other people, im just trying to spread awareness about the weird antisemitic things ben/A LOT of other ajr fans have been saying since many of you have seen the screenshots going around

and are asking who it is so you can unfollow. id also like to thank @illicitwinter for taking the time to revise and help me create this thread in an attempt to make it as respectful as possible.

as im sure a few of you are aware, there are MULTIPLE non-jewish fans who have taken the fact that ajr are jewish and mention it any chance they can to make a quick joke, even if its not relevant to the situation at all. this in general is fucking weird. stop.

taking this and making it their one defining trait or the punchline to all your jokes is so harmful??? and the fact that so many of you dont realize it is concerning. just because THEY joke about it doesnt automatically give US the green light to do it too.

i think a lot of you overstep boundaries and forget we are not their best friends. now moving on to ben's tweets. there have been a countless number of tweets made by him that do this exact thing, with the most recent being from february of this year.

there are an astonishing amount and definitely WAY too many to include but here are a few. keep in mind this is a non-jewish, TWENTY TWO year old man who should know better. it makes no sense to constantly refer to them as this as if thats their "brand" and when it has zero

relevance to the context of the tweet. theyre not funny and some of them are just straight up offensive????? he recently put out an apology in which he says the tweets are "old" and hes grown, but once again, the most recent was in FEBRUARY and the EXCESSIVE mentioning of it

shows he saw nothing wrong. there are a few that so obviously come off as antisemitic and its disgusting. ill add onto this if i think theres something important i should mention but moral of the story: stop fucking doing this.
