every action must have an equal and opposite reaction.

this visual makes it clear what happens when this reaction is not ‘equal and opposite,’ or worse, when there is no reaction present in the first place.
hindus have a problem of denying that the above visual holds truth: from denial of the forces themselves, to denial of their severity, to denial of the need for a response, to the denial for an active response.
*sanātana* dharma, anyway, right?
a long history of oppression has normalized this resistance & hostility we feel. coupled with the accepting nature of our belief system, we fall into a dangerous territory of simply adapting to the antagonizing forces with immeasurable compassion - rather than actively countering
but this is no excuse. we must educate ourselves on the institutional nature of this hinduphobia, and we must act as the countering forces to the anti-hindu forces. it is a long effort and a complicated effort, but it is necessary for each of us to undertake - to uphold dharma.
a great thread on _what_ this active countering force should look like: https://twitter.com/indumathi37/status/1378771171546660891
