1\\ #Algorand is not a short-term trade. It’s a bet that humanity will recognize the best blockchain on a performance & security level and adopt it as its primary ledger.

Will this happen? I’d like to know as much as anyone else.
2\\ What could make the biggest difference is how fast people can learn about Algorand and its unique advantages vs alternatives. I think there needs to be more guides that go over specific comparisons on a factual level, e.g. settlement times, fees, decentralization, & security.
3\\ I also see a lot of confusion about scaling at L1 vs L2, sharding etc. Algorand scales the best without any need for L2 and sharding. #Ethereum is trying to compete with a sharding solution, #Cardano with an L2 ‘hydra’ off-chain solution. But Algorand on L2 or
4\\ with sharding in the future would likely be far superior since it’s the best L1. People don’t seem to understand these differences so they think these L2/sharding ‘hacks’ make Ethereum/Cardano as good as Algorand.
5\\ Imagine you wanted to send gold from London to a friend in NYC. It would take weeks for it to ship there (physically transfer on L1). But you can ‘instantly’ send it with an email and a signature transferring legal ownership. But the gold didn’t actually reach there! This is
6\\ an L2 hack and basically what Bitcoin and Cardano are trying to do is give the appearance of fast/cheap settlements when the fact is nothing really transferred on L1.

Just some thoughts for a Saturday evening.
7\\ Addendum: Also should mention of course that Algorand is likely the most efficient decentralized L1, so it would consume the least amount of energy to operate its network at scale, and is the best for the environment. It’s orders of magnitude less energy than $btc and $eth.
