Here's a handy dandy thread 🧵 of all our Frequently Asked Questions. This will be updated periodically, so be sure to check in once in a while to see what's new.
What is We The Pixies?
We The Pixies (WTP for short) is a rewrite of Disney's Pixie Hollow online multiplayer game that ran from 2008 to 2013. WTP is not affiliated with Disney.
What can I do in the demo?
Check the Discord for a full list of current features, or give the demo a play. All links can be found in the pinned or on our linktree.

How long has WTP been in development?
WTP has been in the works since 2018
When will new features be released?
Watch the Discord, Instagram, or our Twitter for updates as soon as they happen! To get news right away be sure to turn on post notifications.
When will WTP be completed?
Unfortunately, there's no definite answer, WTP is a volunteer project. Meaning staff members have to find time in their busy schedules to work on it, and the game essentially has to be made from scratch. Rest assured though we're working our wings off!
When WTP is complete will I have to pay for a membership for all the features?
Nope! All of WTP will be free to everyone

Will I be able to play as my old fairy from Pixie Hollow?
No. WTP is in no way affiliated with Disney, so we unfortunately cannot transfer accounts from PH.
Will WTP merge with other PH rewrites?
No, WTP has no plans to merge with other PH-related projects.

Will there be updates and new content?
Our #1 priority is to bring the original back to life. However we're hoping to include more original content sometime in the far future.
Will there be a website available for WTP? If so, when will it be available?
Yes! The team is working hard on creating an official website that reflects the magic of the original game. As the website is currently under construction, we don't have an estimated time of release.
Will WTP be accepting donations?
No, WTP will not be accepting any donations and the game is 100% funded by staff.
Thread break! Stretch those wings out fairies, we're about to cover...
CURRENT GAME FEATURES!
Can I make an account and save my fairy?
Account's aren't an option right now - to enjoy the demo, you'll have to create a new fairy every time.
What meadows can I explore?
At the moment we have two meadows available to players, Dew Drop Vale and Palm Tree Cove. Other classic meadows are being developed.
Where are the other talent games?
Only Bubble Bounce is available for now; you can find it in the bottom left corner of Dew Drop Vale, by the Palm Tree Cove sign. Other talent games are on the way!
Can I go shopping yet?
Yes - Brook's Basics clothing store in Dew Drop Vale, and Shelly's Shears hair salon in Palm Tree Cove are both open for business! More items and shops are in development.
Why can't I play as Sparrowmen?
Sparrowmen are getting ready to fly into Pixie Hollow sometime in the future.
I see other fairies but I can't add them as friends!
Adding fairy friends isn't available at the moment, but it's being tinkered on!
What's up with profiles? They look like they're missing a lot!
We're working with fairly simple profiles right now - over time more features will be added. Currently you can use profiles to report or whisper individual users.
How will the chat system be filtered to keep the game kid friendly?
Like everything else in our demo, the chat system is currently in development. At the moment we use a slightly modified version of the white list feature from the original Pixie Hollow. 1/2
This whitelist only allows pre-approved words and phrases to be sent into chat to ensure the game is safe and fun for all ages! Polls to vote on new words to be added to the list will be happening in the future, so be on the lookout! 2/2
Can I apply to help?
WTP is Always in search of artists and devs. If you have any experience in those fields fly on over to our discord for the application forms.
I don't know anything about art or developing. Can I still apply?
Those are currently our only positions available. However everyone can help by reporting bugs in the demo! Our bug reporting form can be found in the linktree.
What do Artists and Devs do?
Together our artists and devs work to rebuild the game from the ground up. Here are the basics. Artists restore art, and create animations and spritesheets. Developers are responsible for the game development and/or web design.
I recently applied for a position and haven't heard back. What should I do?
Responses to applications generally go out within the week, either via email or Discord. However if you have any questions about your application, feel free to message any of the staff on Discord.
Someone just asked a question on the list, what do I do?
Feel free to direct them to this thread!
And finally; who should I contact if I have any more questions?
If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact any of the WTP staff either on Discord, or through Twitter's DM system.
You can follow @WeThePixies.
