Things I have learned on my way to becoming a profitable/professional trader.

1. This is not a get rich quick scheme.

2. You will lose a lot of money, it is just part of the learning process.

3. some of your friends and family members will distance themselves from you.

Because they will think you have a problem with gambling.

4. you will spend most of the time alone.

5. You will go into a very dark place because of depression.

6. If you are in a relationship it will be tested if it's weak or based on money be prepared to lose that person.

7. The are times you will go to bed hungry because the won't be money to buy food.

8. The landlord is going to kick you out if you are renting because you won't have money to pay.

9. It will take you years before you understand how to read charts.

10. After three years of full time trading, reading everything you can get your hands on about trading the market and developing a strategy you'll think you have made it.

11. After years (if you didn't give up) you will realize that price action is king.

12. If you have been resilient for all these years things start happening you are now able to see charts in a different way it's like you can see what the market is about to do this is the fun part because you are now able to make correct decisions.

If you are starting your journey just know it is possible to make a living trading forex it's the journey that is difficult hang in there and don't give up. With the current situation in south africa where there is such high unemployment rate please soldier on till you make it.
