Thousands of others - including many of those who'd just fallen for the above before it was shown to be nonsense - decided that proposing violence against those guilty of using state violence against the innocent is inherently illegitimate.

And thousands more decided that the UK centrist left's strategy of trying to appeal to people who find a banner reading "Kill Cops" more offensive than police rape and murder of women is just too brilliant to challenge.

If anyone is curious as to why the Tories feel capable of passing a law that would allow cops to apply state violence towards peaceful protesters on the grounds that it might upset people, this might have something to do with it.
