My pal, David, who runs Lost Edinburgh, recently came across this, fuzzy, pic, taken by a 14-year-old Glasgow lad, sitting on a coach in Portree, on Skye.

Imagine his surprise when, zooming in, he saw his mother, then aged 19, who was on a trip with her then boyfriend.

Here comes the Stephen Poliakoff-like twist - 25 years later, long after David's dad had died - the photographer, and his accidental subject, would meet, fall in love, and marry.

And, if that doesn't give you a wee shiver, I don't know what would.
