Samajwadi Party made various promises to Muslim voters let's have a look at 2012

Over the years, the SP didn’t bother to fulfill the promises it had made to the Muslims. Why? Perhaps, bcz the party was confident that it would get the Muslim vote, even if didn’t keep its word.

Some of those promises included:-
Reservation for Muslims
Opening of government educational institutes in Muslim areas and setting up of Urdu medium schools.
They will put pressure on the Centre to implement recommendations of the Sachar panel & Ranganath committee reports

govt would hold special camps so that more Muslims get recruited in state forces & the community gets its due reprtn in the police dep.
Promise of releasing Muslim youths implicated in false cases, a compensation to them apart from taking action against erring policemen

promised that Won’t allow communal riots.
Reservation for minority community students in medical education.
Separate reservation for Muslims in proportion to their population which would be about 18 per cent.

Eventually, the SP did won the 2012 elections but the long list of promises to the Muslims remained unfulfilled.

It promised no communal Riot to minorities 2013, Muzaffarnagar witnessed one of the worst riots.
