You know what’s a GOOD way to gauge what 1st Party games or characters people are interested in...maybe some kind of mashup game and we can use popularity data to see all that.
If only there were such a game that existed...damn that would be such a good idea...darn!

Then if the overall game doesn’t do well we can use what profit we do have to make improvements in those needed areas and with a sequel add more characters and changes.
The community would really love it and be really passionate about playing their favorite characters.
