episode 5 & 6 of tfatws are definitely gonna be more sam centric, especially with john walker’s lashing & what that could mean for the shield but remember, sam is still iffy on holding that shield too so i wonder how they’re going to weave into that story

i think a lot of people have been saying they’re introducing new plot points & characters out of nowhere but when you look at the bigger picture, like what sam said in ep3, it’s all about what that shield means to different people & why he has an indifference to holding it

although it took a while, the first four episodes have attempted to layout what exactly sam could be taking up had he taken the shield & also shows WHY he didn’t. the show started out with him giving it away— people wanted to know why? then followed the reasons.

maybe it’s because i’m a film major and have taken many courses on writing, but i can see what the writers are doing. and it’s all going to make sense at the end as to why they did what they did to show you that tfatws was in fact, sams journey.
