dre hollingsworth, a black deaf woman, was recently arrested in LA in front of her kids. it was dark, the cops were wearing masks, she had no idea why she was being arrested. she was refused an interpreter, and her scared kids were made to interpret.

eventually they handcuffed her with her hands behind her back, rendering her completely unable to communicate via ASL.

there aren’t any articles on this, looking up her name only results in finding her socials (@/burgundre)

as far as i know, there aren’t even any gofundme’s or http://change.org  petitions, though if i find any i will be linking them in this thread. the only way to find this stuff is via social media, so please raise awareness
