Amon-Ra is a very gritty WR with solid route running capabilities, great YAC ability, and a mean streak on the field that I LOVE to see on film. My pro comparison for him is former USC WR JuJu Smith-Schuster.
In only 5 games in the 2020 season St. Brown posted 41 receptions for 478 yards, and 7TDs. The production is really solid here, but the film is what really sells me on him. Let& #39;s dive in! One of my favorite parts of St. Brown& #39;s game is his ability to track the ball, and come down with jump balls downfield. Here& #39;s an awesome one for a TD.
Here& #39;s another amazing jump ball win for a TD in the same game. Great release at the line, awesome ball tracking and body control. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🔥" title="Feuer" aria-label="Emoji: Feuer">
While St. Brown is a very solid blocker, sometimes he can get a bit lax when he& #39;s not directly involved in the play.
Here& #39;s more of a typical blocking rep. Great job of totally taking the corner out of the play, can& #39;t ask for more than that out of a WR. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💪" title="Angespannter Bizeps" aria-label="Emoji: Angespannter Bizeps">
One thing I like to see in WRs is a good release package at the line, and he delivers that very nicely. It doesn& #39;t have to be Davante Adams level, but it& #39;s great to see some twitchyness and variation of speed.
Nasty little comeback route right here, look at all that seperation.
One of my favorite things about Amon-Ra St. Brown is his motor. Checkout this amazing effort right here to keep the play alive for his QB.
And finally, the gritty play style I love. This is a tough contested catch over the middle, love the mindset on display here. He ALWAYS falls forward.
Lastly check out the finish on this run here. That& #39;s the physicality I want out of my WR in the NFL. Things like this is where my JuJu comp stems from. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🚂" title="Dampflokomotive" aria-label="Emoji: Dampflokomotive">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🚂" title="Dampflokomotive" aria-label="Emoji: Dampflokomotive">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🚂" title="Dampflokomotive" aria-label="Emoji: Dampflokomotive"> #AngryRuns
That& #39;ll do it for today& #39;s thread! Amon-Ra St. Brown is an excellent all around WR with great route running fundamentals and an awesome level of physicality. I can& #39;t wait to see him in the NFL next season!
