After a deductible replaced our lost food items. We went to Kroger after finding a new place to replace literally every grocery item in our house. It took 4 carts, and the manager gave us our own mini-crew to help us check out and load two cars. It ended up being around $1,600.
I had to leverage all of that on a credit card until we were repaid. Kroger corporate gave us $20 off. Then, one of the cashiers asked if she could put her debit card in to match the $20. We politely refused, because while finances were incredibly tight, I have a secure job...
And a steady pay check every month. This cashier, that makes minimum wage or something close to it offered to give us 2-3 hours of her labor to strangers because she heard what we were going through. Kroger corporate gave us 0.0000000000000000001% of their profit...
Truly, she was like the woman with 2 copper coins from Mark 12. I’m still trying to find her/find a way to thank her for offering such a sacrifice just for our convenience. End of thread.
