Can we all agree that people who took part in genocide should never ever be made into romance MCs?

I recently came across yet another Christian hist romance in which the hero took part in genocide for several years - a fact the author glossed over quite nicely. It's disgusting.

I only read the prologue and the first few chapters, but days later I'm still upset and shaken. Perhaps even more horrible is the fact that this book has received so many gushing reviews.

Oh, and BTW, if you are a white author who thinks it's a good idea to have your "hero" take part in a massacre of Native Americans, perhaps you might want to refrain from implying that the massacre was the tribe's own fault for not being "docile" enough.
