for an imaginary 9-5 job I can't take, b/c I have to work around my disabled husband's cancer treatments. Over 59 million Americans are about to be robbed of our livelihoods during a pandemic. We won't qualify for unemployment & there aren't enough jobs for all of us. #NoPROAct

This isn't about giving freelancers union representation. We already negotiate our own contracts & biz terms better than any union could, based on our individual skills & lifestyles. B/c we're self-sufficient individuals used to working alone, it may appear we're not a force

to be reckoned with. The #PROAct & #ABCTest are already creating a coalition of fed-up #Democrats, #Republicans, & #Independents who simply want to provide our professional services to our clients on our own terms, when, where & how we choose. It's called free enterprise.

Surveys say over 80% of us are happy & satisfied w/ our #freelance lifestyles. Many of us are #women, #POC, #disabled, have chronic illnesses, #seniors & others who don't thrive or can't work in traditional 9-5 jobs. Others, like me, are #caregivers. #NoPROAct #IRSnotABC

#Democrats claim the #PROAct & #ABCTest solve the problem of misclassified workers (independent contractors who should be employees). The IRS already has a test for this. if self-employment & #freelancing is outlawed by the #PROAct & #ABCTest. Smart politicians should know: many freelancers are experts in our fields & will have a lot of time on our hands to help elect people who won't put us out of biz w/out a 2nd thought. #NoPROAct #NoABCTest

Shutting down millions of small businesses self-employed #freelancers have built for decades is immoral, cruel & wrong. It's also just plain stupid to alienate 1/3 of the workforce, & any politician who does so will see the effects at the ballot box. #NoPROAct #NoABCTest
