-note that i extended the frame inward three notches to try to make the trompe-l'œil work
-would make a good reaction meme

-s t r e t c h e d to two canvases so the head holes hit in the right place
-will probably edit significantly
-i love my l o n g a r m
-one of the few here that ive seen in-person, was fixated on it as a kid

-needs big edits, more color

-the first painting i translated! needs to be redone. -limitation on the number of colors we can use in a design really massacred my boi

'president barack obama' by kehinde wiley
-lazy leaves: i filled in the background w. a base green & then drew a messy grid on the diagonal w. a darker green. then at the bottom of each resulting diamond, i added a highlight green. randomly break up the grid lines w. more shadow

'beat the whites with the red wedge' by el lissitzky
-my version just says "wedge" and "beat" lol
-orientation is completely different, but i hope the composition is recognizable

-wish i could make head bigger

-hardest part was choosing which keith haring to mimic
- #haringcore island when?

'altarpiece, no. 1' by hilma af klint
-i don't think this is representative of her work, but the positioning of the gold orb in the original made this one the clear choice to parody
- we as community need to make more trompe l'œil 'passage to nowhere' type designs using cutout

'self-portrait' (1940) by frida kahlo
-once again color palette limitations are a hindrance

'the great red dragon and the woman clothed in sun' by william blake
-removed the background character, upped the saturation of the blue, removed the orange and yellow tones of the original... limited color palette strikes again
-still recognizable, but could be more faithful

(shocked that im up to 14 design grids in this thread. its unlikely ill release codes for each design because i would need to delete 14 older uploads to the design terminal. maybe if there is a demand for a particular design or two ill put those up.)
