Season 1: Each year is a new build. A full cycle from start to finish. While the times change. The project does not. I build. Display. Tear down. Start new again. One of the many things that catches people off guard.
Season 2: The projects themselves can take about 1 to 2 months to build start to finish. Often depends on how long it takes to set the layout and how many @BrickLink orders I have. Which can vary from 1 to "several".
Season 3: One the project is finished. Under normal conditions. I take the project on the road to three or four locations. Either a parish display, bazaar, or other special event. Indoor or Outdoor.
Season 4: The longest on going display has been with Christ the Good Shepherd Parish. (St Helen) in Saginaw. That is always at Advent/Christmas and is the final public display of the season.
Season 5: Tear down takes place usually the same afternoon that the project comes back from the Christmas display. It can take at least two or three days depending.
Season 6: What a lot of people don& #39;t realize is that I have a #disability. A mild form of cerebral palsy. They see my work and don& #39;t realize the challenges that I face every day.
Season 7: "No matter what challenge or disability you face. God can still use your talents in amazing and creative ways. I am building the faith one (LEGO) brick at a time." That is my mission and my ministry.
Season 8: The Project take a lot of effort on my part to build. Both in coming up with a new design. Also in the builds themselves. I am a one man operation. The only help I get is for the displays.
Season 9: I don& #39;t drive and don& #39;t always have easy access to transportation. So it makes pulling of displays under normal conditions challenging.
Season 10: With the pandemic sharing my work has become even more important. As I& #39;ve been starting to get into doing more stuff related to disability awareness.
Season 11: Being a guest on #podcasts is a lot of fun. Because not only do I get to talk about the project. I also get to talk about issues that mos people don& #39;t realize. It allows me to expand my ministry in ways I never expected.
Season 12: While I am a member of the @KofC. I am not actively affiliated with any group. Nor do I get any direct support from those groups. Even with the @DoS_News (where I live). I am truly on my own.
Season 13: One of the personal goals is to start giving more talks about talents and how we can use them for the Glory of God. Never been one for public speaking. But is something I want to try.
Season 14: We never know what plan God has for us. This has clearly been the case in my own life. I am blessed and amazed by all that I have done. Even when I didn& #39;t think things could happen.
Season 15: I am not trained in any school when it comes to parish design. All of my work is 100% free hand. So each year I build a new design from scratch.
Season 16: While I have a lot of ideas of what I would like to have in the project. I never truly know what I will build until I set down with the bricks and God shares with me the story that needs to be told.
Season 17: No matter which project it is. The story still remains the same. I am taking a snap shot of parish life.
Season 18: My project is full of people. Not a reflection of the past. Rather a prayer for the future. A prayer that we would make the Mass more of a priority in our lives.
Season 19: It is also a prayer for those who face challenges or #disability. For those struggling with their faith and want to give up. A prayer that our parish communities would truly be a welcoming place for all.
Season 20: I have a deep passion for the #Catholic faith. For Christ our Savior. I hope that when people see my work. They see that passion and that love. Every artist puts a part of themselves into their work. I know this from how much I put into my own.
Season 21: Over the years I& #39;ve had my chance to share my story with various news publications and podcasts/radio programs. I #pray that I can do more of them this year.
Season 22: If you want to help me out. The easiest way is to share what I am doing. If you know of a #podcast, publication, or radio show. Share them this thread. If you have questions. Feel free to ask. My deep thanks to all who support my work. Means the world to me.
@MrT have you ever seen anything like this before?
