94 days ago a deadly insurrection took place on our Capitol, not one lawmaker has yet to be held accountable for violating the 14th amendment. If this is how democracy operates by letting lawmakers who swear on oath to protect and defend us commit treason then what is democracy?
Our greatest institutions were under attack, seven people including a Capitol police officer lost their lives. Democracy was under siege and the peaceful transition of presidential power was disrupted for the first time in 231 years.
Donald John Trump not only amplified this rebellion but premeditated it by his prior actions. This was ALL planned yet not one lawmaker nor the perpetrator Trump himself has been held accountable by the law.
These lawmakers should be held in the same respects as a Confederate rebel they are cowards, they are traitors and we cannot afford to let this go until they are held accountable for their high crimes & misdemeanors each and every one of them.
If this is how democracy operates by letting this all happen without any consequence then we all failed Thomas Jefferson’s great experiment and democracy is a lawless ideology if this is the case. We have come close many times to democracy failing but no closer than this.
There must be a change in our system if democracy was truly run for the people BY the people. We are the greatest nation in the world many other nations look up to us hoping to have our successes, what transpired on January 6th set a bad precedent for those who look up to us.
Women and Men have shed blood, sweat, and tears for democracy to prevail, our freedoms, and the pursuit of happiness. If THIS is what democracy looks like then have we ourselves failed the big experiment by letting this all transpire? At what expense does democracy come at?
