A lot of people don’t even know the half about being pregnant and/or postpartum. I think it’s because all people want to show after being pregnant is this unrealistic “snapback” phase. I know that’s what I was expecting for me and I was so crushed when I didn’t “snapback”.
I had stretch marks, lose skin and discoloration on my belly, diastasis recti, postpartum depresssion, and my edges fell out at about 4/5 months postpartum. So yeah, don’t believe that snapback shit, don’t compare your journey of motherhood to others on social media...
Love your baby and take the time to allow your body to heal and find ways to love yourself again. Your body just made a whole baby and you gave birth. You did that shit! That’s amazing. Everybody can’t do that and it’s a blessing.
