At Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, physician and nursing staff who don’t normally work in the ICU will be paired with an experienced ICU doctor or nurse to work as a team, said the hospital’s chief of staff, Dr. Ian Preyra.

This week at Peel's William Osler Health System, physician volunteers will work alongside ICU nurses and respiratory therapists to add more bedside care for critically ill COVID-19 patients. It's the first time this has happened.
