The university student who did the story, Blair Nelson, contacted me through his university email, not through any kind of TPUSA or Campus Reform email. Just asked me to comment on my tweets.

I did some searching on him and apparently he got into a physical altercation with a professor previously.

University investigated and issued him a "no contact" order. He sued the university for violation of his free speech. Kind of wonder who funded Blair Nelson's suit against the university.

The purpose of Campus Reform articles is to generate exactly what I got--a lot of hostile hate male like this: "I hope you are diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer that eats away your brain inch by excruciating inch, rendering you deaf, blind and unable to speak," 1/2

That's just a sample of the hate mail. They also called my chair and my dean.

While Blair Nelson trolled my tweets to paint me as an ideological inflexible professor, he might have just gone and read what my actual students wrote about me, including: "She enjoys hearing your ideas as well as offering different povs."

Imagine that: I, a full professor, Guggenhiem fellow, Fulbright scholar, multiply awarded, who has directed writing programs and taught for thirty years, am good at my job.

Happily, I am well supported by my administration. But professors who are in contingent positions, with unfriendly administrations, have been fired. This is outrageous.
