Doug Ford doesn’t have a plan, because he doesn’t believe in plans. He’s an ideas guy. And he has “good ideas.”

It’s up to other people to make those ideas work.
Don’t talk to him about schedules, communication, road-blocks or other difficulties. Those are all “red-tape” that you just steamroll over.

Whether it’s cutting city council, demolishing buildings, changing education or responding to a pandemic, it’s all the same method.
Plans don’t matter. Because plans have details, and details are “red-tape.”

If a plan is more than 5 bullet points on a single page, it’s too complicated. It’s a good idea, just do it.
Look at everything he’s done since coming to office. How many times has he used a damn the torpedoes, steamroll over any objections, just get it done approach?

Almost every single time.

And it’s disorganized chaos every time as a result.
Any competence is because good people know their jobs and are able to do it, despite the chaos above them, or around them.

Don’t mistake that for a well run plan, or Doug Ford running a tight ship.
A lot of people can do a good job despite the incompetence of the managing team above them. It’s how poorly run organizations continue to survive as long as they do.

Good people keep it going. Despite the leadership. Not because of it.
