I was in New Brunswick when it switched to orange level. That meant you had to wear a mask outside. The next day, everyone was wearing a mask. No protests. They wouldnât even serve me in drive-thru without one. To dismiss the east coastâs success is to ignore why itâs working.
New Brunswick has a PC government. My lifelong friends wouldnât see me because I wasnât in their bubble. If I went out, I had to do it alone. Ontario and Albertaâs failure is due to terrible leadership, and those that enable it by constantly blaming people like Trudeau.
Well, this sorta took of.
While I agree that East Coasters are incredibly kind, a virus doesn't care how kind you are. Atlantic Canada benefited from the clear direction, free from politics. Any breakout, anywhere, was handled swiftly and appropriately. Leadership saved lives.

Atlantic Canada hasn't been spared from the ravages of this pandemic, but when cases break out, rules are implemented immediately. As we witnessed today in Edmundston. https://atlantic.ctvnews.ca/new-brunswick-reports-one-new-covid-19-related-death-edmundston-goes-into-lockdown-1.5382489
Bringing politics into it now: the strict protocols have paid off incredibly well for the Atlantic Premiers. The senseless deaths + economic destruction much of Canada will face over the next weeks could have been avoided. All they had to do was look east. https://twitter.com/CanadianPolling/status/1380551354817642501
