1/🚨AN ALLERGY THREAD!!!🚨

It’s that time of year again! The #pollen is out in full force and your #allergies may be acting up, but why does it seem to be so much worse this year?

2/First off, let’s get the #covid19 issue out of the way. There are many symptoms of #allergies that overlap with #covid19, the common cold and influenza.

4/With more days above freezing temperatures, the longer plants survive and make more #pollen.

Pollen is necessary to produce more plants. This has a compounding effect where the next pollen season has more pollen-producing plants.
5/Rising greenhouse gases (namely CO2) leads to more pollen production

8/What can you do to help?

✅avoid going outside in the morning
✅keep windows closed during the pollen season
✅don’t leave your clothes outside to dry
✅change your clothes and shower if you spend time outside
✅talk with your doctor if allergy medication is right for you
9/Thanks for reading! Have a great day. #HappySaturday
