playing the free enderal mod (just re-released for skyrim x64)... it's decently made, "more skyrim"... but for game devs I think it's extra fascinating how they bypass / hack around various skyrim systems (usually to make it more like morrowind) https://store.steampowered.com/app/976620/Enderal_Forgotten_Stories_Special_Edition/
they totally bypass skyrim's skill system with this (arguably worse) thing where you earn "EP" for random tasks + which lets you "read" potions reskinned as skill books + then teleport to this hacky stonehenge room to choose perks in-person by staring at the glowing rocks
I'm really hoping they take advantage of their weird design choice -- spawn a monster inside this level-up room? or make the player leave the level-up area and it turns into a dungeon? -- but everything just feels so brittle and barely-working, you know, like skyrim
oh I forgot, what makes it feel like morrowind to me?... shorter dungeons, lockpick spells, no fast travel (only flight paths / teleport scrolls), really densely packed overworld with too many enemies (they use wolves like cliff racers), cramped interiors with bad pathfinding
