It's weird how so many of us in the UK all had to sing the same few hymns together as kids regardless of religion or background, meaning TikToks like this can fire up long dormant neural pathways and have us in our 30s going "đŸŽ¶so I mustn't forget to say a great big thank youđŸŽ¶" https://twitter.com/Mr_Trower/status/1380080337208885255
I once spent a whole morning trying to work out what the tune in my head was, and when I realised the lyrics were "there's a busy workman digging in the desert, digging with a spade that flashes in the sun" I reacted with confused horror at a hymn I'd not even heard for 18 years.
I guess that, in the end, all these "Come & Praise" songs, from the old things to the new, keep on travelling along with you.
