There is NO wrong way to be trans.

Let me say that again.

There. Is. No. Wrong. Way. To. Be. Trans.

I don’t know who may be making you feel like you’re doing it wrong, but you can’t be authentic in a wrong way.
But....if your authenticity is being used as a shield to be judgmental of others, that’s a different story.

You can be your authentic self however feels right to you, but you can still be a shitty person to others.

I was. For years. And now, I’m not.
Your issues do not magically disappear when transitioning, in my experience. Don’t get me wrong; a LOT of my insecurities did. But the same fears and personality issues I had, followed me.

I sought therapy to work through toxic behavior. For me, it worked.
My point is this: realizing you’re trans and transitioning doesn’t mean the personal work is over. If anything, the look in the mirror after you do is FAR more honest than ever.

You’ll still be left with the responsibility of taking care of yourself and others.

Don’t ignore it.
