I got a forward in my school group. So many Hindus in the group were going 👏🏽👌🏼👌🏼 over it! I am posting the FW & my reply given there!
A pregnant mother asked her daughter, What do u want- A brother or a sister?
Daughter: Brother
Mother: Like whom?
Daughter: Like RAVAN
Mother:
What the hell are you saying? Are you out of your mind?
Daughter: Why not Mom? He left all his Royalship & Kingdom all because his sister was disrespected. Even after picking up his enemy’s wife, he didn’t ever touch her. Why wouldn’t I want to have a brother like him?
What would
I do with a brother like Ram who left his pregnant wife after listening to a Dhobi though his wife always stood by his side like a shadow? After giving Agni Pareeksha & suffering 14 years of exile. Mom, you being a wife & sister to someone, until when will you keep on asking for
a RAM as your son?
Mother was in tears.
Moral: No one in the world is good or bad. Its just an interpretation about someone. Change Ur perception.

My reply:
Ravanan infact killed Surpanakha’s husband & left her to take care of herself. The other brothers Vibhishanan Kumbhakarna
were extremely angry with Ravanan for this act . Ravanan was a very learned man. But he had two weaknesses. 1.Ambition to own everything. 2.Lust for women. Ravanan did not abduct Seetha because Rama ‘supposedly’ disrespected his sister. Soorpanaka wanted to take revenge on Rama
because he refused to marry her saying he was already married. When she realized how beautiful seetha was, she knew Rama will not look at her with a beautiful woman like her by his side. So she started troubling Seetha. Only then Rama had to cut off her nose and ears. When she
went to Ravana hurt & angry he asked her why did a human do this to you. He was sure that she must have instigated him to do such an act. Immediately she realized that saying what really happened will not get his sympathy & gave another story to him. She described Seetha’s beauty
in great detail and seeing such a beautiful woman as Seetha she said she was fit to be only Ravana’s wife and not a human’s wife and so in that encounter her nose and ears were cut. So let me quote form Valmiki Ramayana which is the authentic source of Ramayana. Ravana abducted
Sita out of lust towards her, not to take revenge for happened to Surpanakha.

"I, the king of all the demons, am hit by the arrows of Love-god and came to you in love,
and instead of beseeching me to love you, your rejection and speaking this way, is unapt of you.”

"He that Rama is merely a human, and in war he equals me not by my finger, oh, richly
colourful lady, and I chanced here merely by your serendipity, thus you honour me and my desire to possess you..." Thus Ravana spoke to Seetha.

The reason why Ravana didn't touch Sita when she was in captivity was because of a curse by his nephew, NalaKuberan. Ravana had raped
his wife, and so he had cursed him that if he ever forced himself on any other woman, without her consent, his head will shatter into pieces.

Regarding Rama leaving Seetha in the forest hearing a Dobhi’s insult- Hindu dharma says: A King’s (ruler) first and foremost duty is to
take care of his country and his subjects. A ruler should be a Sevak, serving his country and subjects. Citizens likes and dislikes are important than his selfish ones. A King had to lead an unblemished life. He should be whiter than white and give no reason for anyone to find
any flaws in the façade of his perfect life. Those who pointed fingers at Rama and Sita, though lead less than perfect lives themselves, expected Rama and Sita to lead an exemplary life. In fact, Rama preferred to hand over the kingdom to any one of His brothers and leave for the
forest with Sita. But none of his brothers accepted to take over the kingdom as it was against their own dharma! So he had to follow the dharma as a King. He could not abandon his subjects. He cannot abandon his perfect plan of a perfect society ‘Rama Rajya’. So, he abandoned any
chance of happiness in his life for the happiness of his people. Valmiki says in his epic that Rama spent a whole sleepless night before taking the decision of leaving Sita in the forest. Valmiki reveals how Rama reached a righteous, self-less, dharmic, non-emotional decision. If
you talk to psychologists they would tell about the atmosphere that is needed for a pregnant lady. The pregnancy time decides the long-term health of the child as also the baby’s development & thoughts. The calm, quiet, serene & pious atmosphere in the ashram and the neuro-
linguistic effect of and Vedic chants would be a boon to the unborn child. The example is Prahaladhan. Hiranyakashipu’s pregnant wife, Kayadhu was in Narada’s ashram. The unborn child Prahladan became very pious @ a devotee of Vishnu & later a powerful righteous King. If pregnant
Sita was in the palace, the scandals and slanders will reach there and inhabitants will talk ill or indirectly victimize her. She would have had a miserable, stressful and depressed life in the palace, affecting the child in the womb. Rama’s intelligence had won there too. He had
got two smart kids who were powerful enough to defeat even Rama. They continued the legacy of the legendary Solar Dynasty.

Let us know our facts from scriptures first before we forward something be it of any religion or any belief. Let’s not be fooled by pseudo intellects please
