One of the reasons why I love the horror genre is that it gives me something to be scared about that isn't rooted in reality. This seems to be everything in the genre I try to escape https://twitter.com/latimes/status/1380581313959366664
How many white children do you see killed on screen? Because it comes across as mostly-white companies making money off of showing Black trauma porn to a mostly white audience. https://twitter.com/latimes/status/1380581315221815305?s=19
The descendents of the racists who had parties at lynchings and passed around photos of mutilated Black people won't be swayed by on screen violence. It will further desensitize them.
I genuinely think training folks to just passively sit back and watch violence against minoritized people has an impact in the real world. So many people just stand there as useless bystanders
Whoa huge trigger warning for this

What the fuck?? So it's a supernatural horror...but they decided it needed this realistic violence????? Nah this is twisted.
