I’m going to revisit McCall for a third time I hope I’m not missing anything
One of my very few issues with McCall has always been at times he can get a little shaky with his mechanics right here he shortens his base a little too much and throws a little too much with his arm
This play amounted to nothing but I LOVE seeing quarterbacks direct traffic it shows great coordination with receivers understanding of defenses and where to direct passes into soft spots of coverages this is something that will greatly help his NFL chances
Love this right here off play action right as his receiver is getting ready to slant his fade towards the center of the field McCall is ready to fire also has a great base on the throw plus he's generating a perfect amount of power on his hips he then delivers a strike for a
big play. it's honestly very impressive how much understanding of the passing game he has for such a college style offense that probably doesn't practice much traditional concepts
side note if Isiah Likely came out this year he would be my TE2
A lil hard to tell what is going on here but I'll describe it this is a sneaky high level understanding move by McCall when you throw to receivers you want to put it high and at eye level at times here he does that and something this shows is work ethic he's putting time into
understanding where his receivers want the ball to be placed
So to end off this thread no I'm really not missing anything on my report before I have highlighted spotty mechanics can at times panic under pressure and flirts with the issue of occasional timing problems. I still really like him
