Thread: Fomalhaut, Fish, Frogs, Phalluses & Floods!

1| Fomalhaut is 1 of the 4 “Royal Stars,” or “guardians of the heavens” believed by ancient Persians to govern world events.

It’s name means “mouth of the fish”, but it was also referred to as “the First Frog”...

2| Fomalhaut is the brightest star in the constellation Piscis Austrinis (the Southern Fish) & also closely associated w/ constellation Aquarius, the water-bearer who is pouring water into the fish’s mouth.

3| Piscis Austrinis is thought to represent Assyrian fish god Dagon/Babylonian god Oannes, who came to impart wisdom to humanity. Ea/Enki is represented by Aquarius. Fish symbolism can be seen in many religions, including Catholicism, Christianity & Judaism.

4| The Piscis Austrinis constellation is also said to represent the oxyrhynchus fish, which according to Egyptian myth, swallowed part of Osiris’s chopped up wiener

5| Fomalhaut, the fish’s mouth, has an important role in many flood myths. In Greek myth, the Great Fish saves the world from flood by drinking all the water poured. Similar to the Noah’s ark story, Babylonian god Ea/Enki instructs humans to build a boat to save them from a flood

6| Australian aboriginals also have a flood tale... except instead of a fish, it involves a thirsty frog named Tiddalick

7| Back to Enki... he also has a connection with a frog, who he enlists to help him retrieve the sacred mes (the decrees of the gods) from underwater. They make a point of saying he grabs the frog “by its RIGHT HAND”.

8| One of the 12 tribes of Israel is the tribe of Benjamin. Benjamin means “son of the SOUTH” or “son of the RIGHT HAND”.

The Tribe of Benjamin is symbolized by a wolf, a symbol that often represents Sirius, the wolf/Dog Star.

(Bear with me. I have a point, I think... lol)

9| Sirius is also said to be the home of Nommo, the fish god of the Dogon people of Mali.

The word “nommos” means “to make one drink.”

The Nommos were called “Masters of the Water”, “the Monitors”, and "the Teachers”.

10| The Coming Race is a book about a subterranean race of super-humans who claim to be a branch of descendants of frog beings. Another group, the “Ana”/“An” do not get along with the Frogs.

11| Some claim the book inspired the Nazi Vril Society, who were supposedly in contact with beings from Aldebaran, believed to be the Aryan race’s ancestors. Yikes.

Like Fomalhaut, Aldebaran is one of the 4 “Royal Stars”.

12| Hopi Indians have a tale about the “ant people” from Orion who helped them survive global cataclysms by taking them underground.

The Hopi word for “ant” is “Anu”, & “naki” means “friend.” So the Anu-naki, or “ant friends,” may be the same as the Sumerian Annunaki...

13| Back to the Royal Stars...
Aldebaran is in the constellation Taurus, Antares is in Scorpio & Regulus is in Leo.

All 4 are said to be symbolized as the weird creature encountered by Ezekiel, & also mentioned in the Book of Revelation.

14| Each Royal Star is also associated with an archangel:

Aldebaran - Michael (watcher of the East)

Antares - Uriel (watcher of the WEST)

Regulus - Raphael (watcher of the North)

Fomalhaut - Gabriel (watcher of the SOUTH)

15| Uriel’s star, (the watcher of the west) Antares, means “rival of Mars”. Cherokee Indians believed Antares & Sirius are Dog Star guardians of the “Path of Souls”.

The goddess Hathor is connected to Sirius & was sometimes called “Mistress of the West” and the “Golden One”.

16| Gabriel is considered an important messenger of God, as he announced the birth of Jesus to Virgin Mary. In the Old Testament, he was messenger to prophet Daniel, sent to explain the symbolism of his vision. He also visits Zechariah to announce the birth of John the Baptist.

17| Gabriel’s star, Fomalhaut (“the fish’s mouth” / “the first frog”), is sometimes called “the Loneliest Star” because no other bright stars shine near it in the sky.

18| So what does this all mean?

Water seems to be symbolic of the unconscious, divinity, & also life-giving/fertility.

19| There’s some interesting etymological coincidences with Fomalhaut’s constellation, “Pisces Australis” (Southern Fish). Basically there’s a connection between the Latin word aurire, “to drink in”, & auris, “ear”:

Audi = hear
Aurire/Haurire = to drink in
Auris = ear

20| Especially interesting is the similarity of those words with the Latin word for “gold/golden,” which is auri.

21| So what’s up with gold? We know it’s important in alchemy.

This famous alchemical drawing from the 17th century is titled “Auri Potabilis Chimice Praeparati”, which translates to “chemical preparation of Drinkable Gold”.
