So I& #39;ve seen discussions about how "women read/ write too much mlm fic" which is really reductive, but I& #39;ve never seen anyone talk about the fact that a lot of people are bad at writing about bodies that are AFAB, so reading wlw or m/f stories can feel like a minefield
Like, I never know if I& #39;m gonna run into gross fatshaming, or a forced pseudo body positive spiel, or a horrible description that makes me feel like *my* body is gross
And with mlm* fic I can just... skip all that anxiety! Cause the tropes/ expectations are totally different!

*I& #39;m not a trans man so I don& #39;t want to speak for how they are represented in fic! I try to read works by trans authors and in my experience it& #39;s much more thoughtful
Anyway, this thread brought to you by the fic I read today that used "snail slime" to describe a woman& #39;s slick that made me want to walk into the sun https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😬" title="Grimasse schneidendes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Grimasse schneidendes Gesicht">
