Okay, first question I had was why it takes the province a week to deliver vaccines to where they can be administered? Especially if Dix says that there is the ability to deliver them in "within one or two days." You can drive from Victoria to Fort Nelson in 20 hours. #COVID19BC
In fairness, @katiederosayyj did ask for the details on why it takes a week to get the vaccines where they can do any good. The Ministry of Health was either unwilling, or unable, to give her a detailed answer. #COVID19BC
Instead of addressing why BC can't get doses it has out to vaccine clinics faster, Dix highlights two recent delivery delays from Moderna. This is classic buck-passing. Also notice that he doesn't mention Pfizer or AstraZeneca which make up 82% of BC's supply. #COVID19BC
That Dr. Mel Krajden, medical director for the @CDCofBC, is willing to say "we’re not super professional at how quickly we’ve rolled out these vaccines" is really telling. Given how centralized the BC healthcare system is making any criticism is a gutsy move. #COVID19BC
