Here’s the policing problem in a f’ing nutshell:

A @OttawaPolice officer has the balls to say “Our days are done, white man’s day is done” and then to proudly defend it as “simple, objective analysis of something”.

Every outfit has worried more about protecting their reputation than the safety of their citizens, of ALL of their citizens. @edmontonpolice Chief McFee is the only one to substantively follow through on his promises to address systemic racism (and his troops whine).

Police officers band together out of necessity. They need each other at dangerous calls, they have to support one another in life/death situations.

But they seriously need to look inward and unfuck their mindset. Nothing they’ve done says they have the capacity for it.
