Dean being a danger to himself and Sam being a danger to others for each other

DISCLAIMER: I didn't include every time they sacrificed for each other, I'm talking about the ones that showcase this specific scenario. That doesn't mean it can't be the other way around
DISCLAIMER 2: I'm not trying to compare them to prove a point of who loves the other one the most. This is just to show how Sam and Dean love each other differently, but just as much. I probably missed a few things but these examples are the ones that stand out to me personally
Faith (1x12). Dean is dying, so Sam takes him to see a faith healer to later find out that it was just black magic and they were "saving" people by trading lives. Dean is angry, but Sam just says that the guy would've died anyway. Dean was cured and that's what mattered to him
Croatoan (2x09). They think Sam is dying. Sam tells Dean that he should leave, and that he will "handle it", but of course, Dean refuses to leave. He wants to stay there and die with Sam, despite him not being infected. He would rather die with him than to leave him alone
All Hell Breaks Loose Pt. 2 (2x22). The obvious one. Sam is killed by Jake, but Dean with no hesitation decides to sell his soul to bring him back, even when the demon gave him just one year left to live
Fresh Blood (3x07). Dean is under his one year deal. He puts himself at very stupid risks just so Sam can get away. This is not one of the most intense examples, but that's exactly why I wanted to mention it. He's going to hell, he's scared, but he will continue to keep Sam safe
Mistery Spot (3x11). Dean is killed, and Sam has to spend the next 6 months without him. He loses himself, obsessed with finding the trickster. He's willing to bleed out an innocent person just to get him back. He even kills "Bobby" without being sure that it was the trickster
Time Is On My Side (3x15). Sam picks a case knowing exactly what it is about and trying to get Dean to accept a life where the both of them have to harvest human parts from innocent people to achieve immortality, just so Dean doesn't have to go to hell
No Rest For The Wicked (3x16). This is for the both of them. Sam is willing to give in to his demonic powers just to save Dean, and Dean is willing to go to hell just so Sam doesn't have to do that
Not a specific episode, but season 4 in general. Sam is filled with grief, drinking himself to death. Ruby then takes advantage of that, and convinces him to give in to his demonic powers, knowing he can't bring Dean back, but he will get revenge on Lilith
Swan Song (5x22). Sam will either spend eternity in the cage with Lucifer or have him destroy the world while possessing him. Dean doesn't really care about the fact that the fight between Michael and Lucifer will be lethal to the world, he won't let Sam go through that alone
Appointment In Samarra (6x11). Dean kills himself to talk to Death, for Sam. He makes a deal with him, and knowing that Sam could die, he makes the decision to let Death put his soul back with a wall to protect him from his memories.
Trial And Error (8x14). They know about the trials to close the gates of hell. Dean won't let Sam do them, he takes it on himself to complete the trials because what's important to him is that Sam gets to have a life, gets to live, even if the trials kill him
First Born (9x11) and Do You Believe In Miracles? (9x23). Dean accepts the Mark Of Cain to be able to kill Abaddon, and then to also kill Metatron. He avoids Sam getting involved in the situation to deal with it himself, which gets him killed by Metatron
Black (10x01) and Soul Survivor (10x03). Sam is desperately trying to find Dean, he shows a man a way to sell his soul just to get a shot at a demon. Sam didn't mean for the man to sell his soul, he would try to get a grip on the demon before that, but it didn't really matter
Out Of The Darkness, Into The Fire (11x01). Sam frees the Darkness just to get rid of the Mark of Cain, to save Dean. This one is pretty self explanatory

"I unleashed a force on this world that could destroy it, to save you [...] and I'd do it again"
Red Meat (11x17). The peak of this thread. Dean thinks Sam is dead, so he kills himself to talk to Billie, asking her to take him, and not Sam. In the meantime, Sam is barely alive, but manages to kill 3 werewolves just to get to Dean, scared that he's not safe
First Blood (12x09). Both of them are willing to give their lives up to get out, to save the other. We don't know who was the one that was supposed to die, but they were both willing to
Let The Good Times Roll (13x23). Sam and Jack are taken by Lucifer, so Dean lets Michael in, to save Sam
Prophet and Loss (14x12). Dean will go into the Ma'lak box to save the world, sacrificing himself once again. At the same time, Sam is angry, and we get little glimpses of that when he doesn't let go of the prophet, and when he punches Dean
Proverbs 17:3 (15x05). Sam is knocked unconscious (shocker) when fighting against Lilith. In an effort to keep Sam safe, Dean intentionally takes Lilith to the wrong place when she asks for the gun that can kill Chuck, knowing that she could kill or torture him for lying to her
Carry On (15x20). Dean accepts his death, and tells Sam that he can't bring him back. After all they've been through, Dean decides to give in, and to say goodbye to his little brother, hoping they will be reunited again. To me this was the ultimate sacrifice for the both of them
Sam has to let Dean go, and Dean has to let go of Sam. Sam will have to live a life without him to not break the promise he made to his big brother, and Dean has to accept that, and accept the fact that he won't be able to look after his little brother anymore.
And that's it :) This was honestly just something I wanted to do for myself because honestly that's my favorite part about their relationship and their dynamic, you don't have to agree with my analysis, but I hope that you liked it🤗
