I just want this Matt Gaetz story to be over so I can stop watching men all over Twitter pretend his behavior is obviously despicable, like he wasn’t elected to Congress for being this exact guy, like they’ve never stood by and watched some other guy do the exact same shit.

Of course it’s unsurprising that Gaetz is a predator, but less because it was always clear and more because men do this shit all the fucking time, and other men just keep quietly shaking their heads until it’s safe to say he’s a bad dude without risking their membership cards.
