This week being Christ's spring birth & this past weekend his resurrection & visitation to the old world & the Americas, I'll write a short special thread.

It'll contain a lil more of mine K'iche' tribe's beliefs of us from Cobán & some of the K'iche' of the South in Guatemala
Helaman 14:3-7

3 And behold, this will I give unto you for a sign at the time of his coming; for behold, there shall be🔸 great lights in heaven🔸, insomuch that in the night before he cometh there shall be no darkness, insomuch that it shall appear unto man as if it was day☀️.
4 Therefore, there shall be one day and a night and a day, as if it were one day☝️ and there were no night; and this shall be unto you for a sign; for ye shall know of the rising of the sun☀️ and also of its setting;
therefore they shall know of a surety that there shall be two days and a night; nevertheless the night shall not be darkened☀️; and it shall be the night before he is born👶.
5 And behold, there shall a new star ⭐ arise, such an one as ye never have beheld; and this also shall be a sign unto you.

6 🔸And behold this is not all, there shall be many signs and wonders in heaven🔸.
7 And it shall come to pass that ye shall all be amazed🙏, and wonder, insomuch that ye shall fall to the earth⛰️.

Narration of the K'iche' lords of the South:

Allen J. Christenson 2007 version:

The Dawn portion

(Shortened version)
"GREATLY they rejoiced, Balam Quitze, Balam Acab, Mahucutah, and Iqui
Balam, when they saw the Morning Star ⭐. It came forth glittering⭐ before the face of the sun☀️.
Then they unwrapped their copal incense☁️, for the sun was to come forth.
They unwrapped it with victory in their hearts. There were three ▪️▪️▪️☁️ types of incense that they burned as a means of expressing the gratitude in their hearts🙏:
▪️☁️Mixtam Incense was the name of the copal incense carried by Balam Quitze.
▪️▪️☁️Caviztan Incense was the name of the copal incense carried by Balam Acab. And ▪️▪️▪️☁️Cabavil Incense, as it is called, was carried by Mahucutah.
These three were the copal incenses that they burned, waving their censers toward
the rising sun☀️. They wept bitterly🙏 as they waved their censers, burning the sacred copal incense before they saw and witnessed the birth of the sun☀️.
And when the sun came forth, all the small animals and great animals rejoiced🐑.
They came up from the rivers and from the canyons🐑. They were there on the mountain peak. As one☝️ they turned their faces toward the coming forth of the sun.
Then the pumas and the jaguars cried out🐑. The first bird to sing was the parrot, as it is called. All the animals truly rejoiced🐑. However many nations there are today, ♾innumerable♾ people, they all had but one dawn☝️☀️.
Then also the face of the earth was dried by the sun. Like a person👨 was the sun when he revealed himself. Hot was his face and thus he dried the surface of the earth. Before the sun had come forth the face of the earth was wet; it was soggy prior to the coming forth of the sun
But when the sun ascended upward, he was like a person👨. His heat could not be endured. This was but his self-revelation when he was born👶. What is left is but a mirror. What appears now is not the true sun, according to their account. --
🔸There it was that the sun, moon, and stars truly appeared🔸. 🔸Everything on the face of the earth and beneath the sky had its dawn☀️ and became clear🔸.
Thus began their song called Our Burial. Their hearts and bowels wept🙏 as they
sang. And this is what they said in their song:
“Alas we were lost! At Tulan we split ourselves apart🌊. We left behind our older brothers and our younger brothers. Where did they see the sun☀️? Where were they when it dawned☀️?”

Narration of the K'iche lords of the south.

Dennis Tedlock 1996 version:

The Dawn portion

(Shortened version)
And then the Cakchiquels were named: their name became Cakchiquels. So, too, with the Rabinals; this became their name. It hasn't been lost today.
And then there are those of the Bird House, as they are named today.
These are the names they named for each other. When they held council there, they were still waiting for the dawning☀️, watching for the appearance of the rising star⭐, the one that came before the sun☀️ when it was born.
"When we came away from Tulan, we broke ourselves apart," they
told each other.
And it isn't clear how they crossed over the sea🌊. They crossed
over as if there were no sea. They just crossed over on some stones, stones piled up in the sand. And they gave it a name:
Rock Rows, Furrowed Sands was their name for the place where they crossed through the midst of the sea🌊. Where the waters divided, they crossed over.
So they were there in unity☝️: Jaguar Quitze, Jaguar Night, Mahucutah,
and True Jaguar. In unity☝️ they waited for the dawn☀️, there on top of
the mountain named Hacauitz.
Tam Tribe is the name of the place where the god of the Tams was, there at the dawn☀️. Net Weave Tribe is the name of the place where dawn☀️ came for the Ilocs. Also there were all the Rabinals, Cakchiquels, those of the Bird House, all the tribes, small and great.
In unity☝️ they stopped there, and in unity☝️ they had their dawning☀️ there. In unity☝️ they waited there for the rising of the great star⭐ named daybringer.
"It will rise⭐ before the sun☀️ when the dawn comes," they said, and they were in unity☝️.
There was no sleep, no rest for them. They cried their hearts and their guts out,🙏 there at the dawning☀️ and clearing🔸, and so they looked terrible.
"Coming here🌊 hasn't been sweet for us. Alas! If we could only see
the birth of the sun☀️! What have we done? We all had one identity☝️, one mountain☝️, but we sent ourselves into exile🌊,"
they said when they
talked among themselves. And Jaguar Quitze, Jaguar Night, Mahucutah, and True Jaguar were overjoyed🙏 when they saw the daybringer⭐. It came up first. It looked brilliant when it came up⭐, since it was ahead of the sun☀️. ---
The three ▪️▪️▪️ of them had their copal, and this is what they burned as they incensed☁️ the direction of the rising sun☀️. They were crying sweetly🙏 as they shook their burning copal, the precious copal.☁️
After that they cried🙏 because they had yet to see and yet to witness the birth of the sun☀️.
And then, when the sun came up, the animals🐑, small and great, were
happy🐑.
However many tribes there may be today. There were ♾countless♾ peoples, but there was just one☝️☀️ dawn for all tribes.
And then the face of the earth was dried out by the sun. The sun was
like a person👨 when he revealed himself. His face was hot, so he dried out the face of the earth. Before the sun came up it was soggy, and the face of the earth was muddy before the sun came up.
And when the sun had risen just a short distance he was like a person👨, and his heat was unbearable. Since he revealed himself☀️only when he was born, it is only his reflection that now remains. As they put it in their own words:
"The sun that shows itself is not the real sun."
And then, all at once, Tohil, Auilix, and Hacauitz were turned to stone⛰️, along with the idols of the puma, jaguar, rattlesnake, yellowbite, which the White Sparkstriker took with him into the
trees⛰️."
3 Nephi 1:15-21

"15 & it came to pass that the words which came unto Nephi were fulfilled, according as they had been spoken; for behold, at the going down of the sun there was no darkness; & the people began to be astonished because there was no darkness☀️ when the night came"
"16 And there were many, who had not believed the words of the prophets, who fell to the earth and became as if they were dead⛰️, for they knew that the great plan of destruction which they had laid for those who believed in the words of the prophets had been frustrated⛰️;
for the sign which had been given was already at hand☀️."
"17 And they began to know that the Son of God must shortly appear; yea, in fine, ♾all the people upon the face of the whole earth♾ from the west to the east☝️, both in the land north and in the land south☝️, were so exceedingly astonished that they fell to the earth⛰️."
"18 For they knew that the prophets had testified of these things for many years, and that the sign which had been given was already at hand☀️; and they began to fear because of their iniquity and their unbelief⛰️."
"19 And it came to pass that there was no darkness in all that night, but it was as light as though it was mid-day☀️. And it came to pass that the sun did rise in the morning again, according to its proper order;
and they knew that it was the day that the Lord should be born👶, because of the sign☀️ which had been given."
"20 And it had come to pass, yea, 🔸all things, every whit,🔸 according to the words of the prophets."

"21 And it came to pass also that a new star⭐ did appear, according to the word."
Matthew 2:9—10 (kjv)

When they had heard the king⛰️, they departed; and, lo, the star⭐, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child👶 was.
When they saw the star⭐, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy🙏.
Matthew 2:11 (kjv)

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child👶 with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him🙏: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; ▪️☁️gold, and ▪️▪️☁️frankincense, and ▪️▪️▪️☁️myrrh.
Luke 2:15—16 (kjv)

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds🐑 said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.🐑
And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe👶 lying in a manger🐑.
The Popol Vuh of the K'iche' lords of the South focuses on Christ's birth, mixed with his visitation as a man-like sun☀️ that was long awaited to illuminate the earth. With the incense☁️ as praising🙏 and wailing cries before the dawn, the animals rejoicing🐑.
With the mourning of the crossing of the sea🌊 from the first land, Tulan, which they wished they were with their kinsfolk to see the birth, but yet they still witnessed the sign of his birth. A star ⭐and a sun ☀️.
The stone turning and trapping of the god idols and other gods who could not bear the presence of his birth light⛰️. There were many gods and many tribes. They were turned to stone. The K'iche' 4 assigned patron gods, 3 mentioned by name when they turned to stone. Idols hidden.
♾Innumerable♾ people, far and close and different in works and names. All one sun Dawn☀️☝️One star ⭐ One birth👶. Like a man👨 was that sun. A mirror, a mere memory is what's left after the sun came.
Today's sun in the sky being that memory of that other sun whose face was bright and hot. face of purity.

The star in the Popol vuh is also correlated to Venus of rebirth. Xbalanque, a twin god son of resurrection.
Now on to my village of the K'iche' of Cobán, which we focus on his death and visitation after his resurrection. Only this portion, the rest is summarized in another thread post that I'll pin at the end of this thread.
In ours, the world was very dark.⚫ There wasn't a sun yet. The twin sons, whom both, lesser gods, had the power to resurrect, both from a virgin pregnancy, both bore the memories of their father who was a skull calabash tree who also was a twin.
but one had leading authority, because he bore the same name as his father.

that one, became the sun for the meantime. Hunahpu, son of One Hunahpu.
Another lesser god had also gained the role of sun, Tohil, but he had made his goal to offer fire if he was given blood-letting sacrifices from the other tribes. He was turned to stone with the rest⛰️, to then turn more bloodthirsty and cruel much later after the dawn☀️.
Before dawn, there were 2 lesser light suns. But none were the sun.

A day was established for the dawning to come,
it was established even before the creation of the earth by counseling between our 3 leading gods Q'uq'umatz - Tepeu - Huracán whom together they are called Kukulkan. with 2 elders, and the lesser deities in the near to help in the creation.
When the dawning came, everyone was waiting in the highest of hills and mountains to see the rise of 2 suns:

A literal sun, and a sun of knowledge.
All in the land, from all tribes far and close, saw the rising of the literal sun wherever they were, the sun of knowledge came to one tribe at a time, but to all.
That second sun of knowledge was Q'uq'umatz, the first and leading god of our 3 gods. But he arrived in white, tall and bright, skin and hair white. His light stronger than the literal sun that was risen that day, his light turning all and every single other deities to stone.
Father Sun, referred to sometimes.
Eternal light of peace
He had a cloak of green and white feathers, and he proceeded to head on to the people of the first tribe he appeared to: my K'iche' tribe. He healed, did deeds of good, and narrated.
Narrated of more strength & courage through Xibalba and his light that now glows there, were Earthquake or also called Cabrakan or hell is trapped and tied underground nearby, nearby the roots of tunnels.
Q'uq'umatz illuminated the passing in Xibalba which the resurrection twins willingly sacrificed themselves and resurrected to kill the 2 gods of death there, illuminating what was the dark passing of all souls to all 9 trial houses to become gods like him.
A challenging realm, 9th Metnal the hardest, but not condemning. No hell.
Then, to live like him on the top of the Ceiba tree. To the heart of the white spot in the milky way. The highest of 13 levels. Where Kukulkan resides.
Earthquake is one of the sons of 7 Macao or Vucub Caquix and brother to Crocodile or Xipacna or death, his father, mother and brother were killed from their false sun and moon glory boasting when the earth was in its creation stages.
Unlike his parents and brother, Earthquake wasn't killed but instead was tied on both arms and legs by the resurrection twins then thrown down a deep pit were he was then covered in soil, sealing him. When he moves inside of his entrapping he causes earthquakes.
Spiritual Death he represents, eternal torment. Alive, but agonizing. Hell, one of his other names.
Because he wouldn't be able to see the dawn due to his eternal punishment, he began to squirm and caused destruction and fires through earthquakes before the coming of the sun. While it was still dark. Devastating the land above and its people before Q'uq'umatz came in white.
He still causes earthquakes today.
Q'uq'umatz narrated many good report, and healed, then said that he is to go to the other tribes of the land, to narrate to them, and that he'll return again.
Incense alongside other offerings in the form of burning saps, copals smoke and flowers with feather prayers were done, and there was unity with all the tribes. All saw the sun, and none were under the ways of other gods and patrons because they were turned to stone.
That is, until much later they were released and using their half stone forms, became cruel and demanded heart blood sacrifices from the other tribes and their gods. Rivalry beggan. Tohil, being one of them.
3 Nephi 8:17-23

17 And thus the face of the whole earth became deformed, because of the tempests, and the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the quaking of the earth.
18 And behold, the rocks were rent in twain; they were broken up upon the face of the whole earth, insomuch that they were found in broken fragments, and in seams and in cracks, upon all the face of the land.
19 And it came to pass that when the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the storm, and the tempest, and the quakings of the earth did cease.
—for behold, they did last for about the space of three hours; and it was said by some that the time was greater; nevertheless, all these great and terrible things were done in about the space of three hours—and then behold, there was darkness upon the face of the land.
20 And it came to pass that there was thick darkness upon all the face of the land⚫, insomuch that the inhabitants thereof who had not fallen could feel the vapor of darkness;
21 And there could be no light, because of the darkness, neither candles, neither torches; neither could there be fire kindled with their fine and exceedingly dry wood, so that there could not be any light at all;
22 And there was not any light seen, neither fire, nor glimmer, neither the sun, nor the moon, nor the stars, for so great were the mists of darkness which were upon the face of the land.
23 And it came to pass that it did last for the space of three days that there was no light seen; and there was great mourning and howling and weeping among all the people continually;
yea, great were the groanings of the people, because of the darkness and the great destruction which had come upon them.
3 Nephi 11:3-14

3 And it came to pass that while they were thus conversing one with another, they heard a voice as if it came out of heaven; and they cast their eyes round about, for they understood not the voice which they heard; and it was not a harsh voice,
neither was it a loud voice; nevertheless, and notwithstanding it being a small voice it did pierce them that did hear to the center, insomuch that there was no part of their frame that it did not cause to quake;
yea, it did pierce them to the very soul, and did cause their hearts to burn.

4 And it came to pass that again they heard the voice, and they understood it not.
5 And again the third time they did hear the voice, and did open their ears to hear it; and their eyes were towards the sound thereof; and they did look steadfastly towards heaven, from whence the sound came.
6 And behold, the third time they did understand the voice which they heard; and it said unto them:
7 Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, in whom I have glorified my name—hear ye him.
8 And it came to pass, as they understood they cast their eyes up again towards heaven; and behold, they saw a Man descending out of heaven; and he was clothed in a white robe; and he came down and stood in the midst of them;
and the eyes of the whole multitude were turned upon him, and they durst not open their mouths, even one to another, and wist not what it meant, for they thought it was an angel that had appeared unto them.
9 And it came to pass that he stretched forth his hand and spake unto the people, saying:

10 Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
11 And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world,
in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.
12 And it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words the whole multitude fell to the earth; for they remembered that it had been prophesied among them that Christ should show himself unto them after his ascension into heaven.
13 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto them saying:
14 Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world.
my village know of a destruction of earthquakes when it was in darkness, the new for and knowledge that a sun was long awaited since before creation, of Q'uq'umatz coming and promise to return, and our heavenly paths to reach the highest of 13 levels in the milky way.
Our local neighbor tribes' ways and narrations are different, but some have a knowledge of a sun from a long time of darkness and some a white god the same as ours.
Kukulkán of the North came and left from the sea. I don't have authority neither the full knowledge of theirs, so I won't tell them. I tell of only mine.

with this of mine tribe suffices. The rest is summarized in another thread post that I'll tag at the end of this thread.
And now, those of deep south america, Peru and other Andean areas of the Inca, who was also a creator, white, healing, teaching. These ones are bearded with white hair.
Narrations documented in the 14-1500's by catholic spaniard priests and conquistadores.
Our LDS church in January 1984, released a page on 4 Andean accounts.

Here's 2 excerpts:
"For many days prior to his coming, the sun was darkened and the people suffered tremendous privations from lack of sunlight. Only after intense praying and supplication was the light restored, after which Viracocha appeared."
"He had white hairs, was slender, walked with a staff, and he taught the people with great love, calling them all his sons and daughters."
