Why do I have so much scorn for the anti-cop, #DefundThePolice crowd?

- I have to call a take out place in order to place an order for food, and then purposely pick it up late, just to make sure that no one spits in it or tampers with it. I know cops that have been poisoned.
I’ve had to visit way too many of my brothers and sisters in blue in the hospital from them getting assaulted. Then watched the person who assaulted them laugh in the cells and later on try to sue the city for “damages”.
Watched an overrated football player make millions by quoting incorrect and/or incomplete “facts”, destroying a noble career. He’s be completely forgotten by now if he hadn’t ever taken a knee.
Watch career politicians take the side of criminals, drug-dealers, and gangbangers every day, because siding with them is easier than calling out the real plague in the black community: gun violence and the “code of the streets”.
Been to too many funerals. Seen way too many wives and children of cops cry. Held my own brothers and sisters while they’ve cried. Cried, myself. If it’s not a line of duty death, it’s suicide. All of this negative energy is taking a toll on us, and we’re not okay.
Tired of listening to Monday morning quarterbacks who have no idea of how to do the job, now present themselves as “experts” on how to “fix” policing. Policing doesn’t need to be fixed. Criminals and those that support them need fixing.
Through all of this, we’re going to keep getting up and doing our jobs. Police work is a calling. The 1% of us that misfit the uniform aren’t indicative of the 99% that do the job honorably. We’re tired of being incorrectly labeled. #bluelivesmatter
